It's State Fair Time

All across the USA it’s state fair time. Flags On A Stick opened its first flag store at the MN State Fair in August, 2002. We salute this great American tradition.

Over 1.8 million people attended the MN State Fair last year.  Because state fairs have so many attractions to visit, many people plan to attend more than one day of the fair. Entertainment and activities include concerts, rodeos, parades… and of course, animal and agricultural exhibits. Oh, and food…. Lots and lots of food.

Walleye on a stick

The MN State Fair is famous for its “on a stick” theme which every year includes new food items on a stick. From shrimp on a stick, pork chops on a stick, walleye on a stick, to cheesecake on-a-stick… you’ll find a variety to test your taste buds.

Back in 2002 I came up with the idea of “Flags On Stick”.  My decorative flag store was a perfect match for the Minnesota State Fair. The white cottage booth stood at the corner of Snelling Ave. and Cosgrove. The outdoor flags were flying with colorful and eye-catching detail.
